==About the Contributor==&lt;br /&gt;
Dr. Miles is a Principal Environmental Consultant at Arcadis with seventeen years of experience specializing in the assessment of contaminants in environmental matrices including chlorinated solvents, hydrocarbons, metals, and poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Based in the UK Dr. Miles has worked on projects in the UK, France, Sweden, Australia, and the United States. He has extensive experience in the field deployment of the Membrane Interface Probe (MIP) and Ultra-Violet Optical Screening Tool (UVOST) as part of site characterization. Dr. Miles has a particular interest in PFAS and holds a Ph.D. in organofluorine chemistry from the University of Leicester and an undergraduate degree from the same institution. He has been a contributing author to research publications and review articles on the subject for both peer reviewed journals and industry publications.&lt;br /&gt;
