About the Contributor
Ms. Beckley is a Senior Geologist with more than 20 years of experience in the environmental industry. She received M.A. and B.S. degrees in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Since joining GSI in 2007, she has been involved with numerous environmental assessment, long-term groundwater monitoring optimization, regulatory/litigation support, and database/software development projects. Her current focus areas include vapor intrusion and regulatory permitting. In the area of vapor intrusion, she has conducted conventional and innovative (e.g., compound-specific stable isotope, on-site GC/MS analysis (HAPSITE), hydrocarbon fingerprinting) investigation programs at sites around the U.S., developed investigation protocols, guidance, and training, co-authored peer-reviewed technical publications, and is an active member of the ITRC Petroleum Vapor Intrusion guidance development and classroom training teams. Prior to joining GSI, Ms. Beckley worked in enforcement and remediation programs at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, in various roles ranging from project to program management.
